Paul David Gosnell passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 7th in the
early morning. Paul was born April 3, 1956 in Indianapolis, Indiana. His loss will be felt
far and wide, as his personality was larger than life and his capacity to love, laugh, and
play was extraordinary. He participated in Special Olympics and worked at Goodwill
Industries for a time. He created his entertainment via simple rope (his own version of a
yo-yo) tied into special knots he re-created over and over. He played his music
every day and loved to dance. The Partridge Family/David Cassidy was his favorite, and
he was partial to 70’s rock music. He loved the Dark Shadows TV Series, and horror
movies. Of the many things he loved that made his world beautiful, none compared to
how much he loved his family and McDonald’s.
He is survived by his mother, Marion Gosnell, his siblings, Cynthia Sutherland (David),
Beth Gosnell, Laura Kerr (Jerry), Kathleen Cappo (Mark), Jeffrey Gosnell (Chrystal).
Nieces and Nephews: Sarah Papp (Danny), Savannah Snyder (Ethan), Stratten
Peterson (Alex), Arthur Cappo, Oliver Cappo (Kathy), Curtis Cappo, Logan Kerr
(Melanie), Torrey Thirion (Adam), Logan Gosnell, and James Ryan Gosnell. Fourteen
great nieces and great nephews who he loved very much. His cousins never left his
thoughts for long, he loved them deeply. He is preceded in death by his Father, James
Gosnell, his brother, James Gosnell, Jr., his sister-in-law, Cathy Gosnell, and his
nephew, Dana Kerr.
In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Rock by the Sea, Inc. Paul
loved live music and was part of the Rock Boat and Rock by the Sea community.
