Paul Thomas Barnum, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on May 17, 1926 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late William Stanley and Zelia Irene (Pratt) Barnum. Paul graduated in 1944 from Pontiac High School and GMI in Skilled Trades of Master Mechanics in 1947. Paul volunteered for the U.S Army Air Force in 1944. During WWII he was training to be a bombardier when peace was declared. On June 1, 1946 he married the love of his life, Gwinifred Bea Eubank, and they raised four children together. Paul spent his career in the Tool and Dye Inspection Dept. of Pontiac Motor Division of General Motors for 38 years, retiring on January 1, 1980. Paul excelled in sports of golf and bowling. He belonged to the Bass Masters Fishing Club and won may trophies in golf, bowling and fishing. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends for his loyalty, guidance, independence, generosity, sense of humor, affection and his self-determination. Survivors include his wife, Gwinifred Barnum; children, Paul Thomas Barnum, II (Karen), Roger Gerald Barnum, Richard Lee Barnum, Kathleen Jeanette Barnum; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Donald LaVerne Barnum. There will be a memorial service on Friday, August 26, 2016, 11:00 a.m., at Sebring Parkway Church of Christ in Sebring, FL with Kevin Patterson officiating.
