Patricia Ann Smith, age 74, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022 in Sebring, Florida. She was born on July 7, 1948 in Morley, England, the daughter of Harry and Dorothy May (Williams) Simpson. She had 3 children from her first marriage.  Michelle Rooney, Simon Thorne and Tracy Noel.  During the 70s and 80s she lived in New Zealand, England and Hong Kong before finally settling in Maine. She made many dear friends along her journey and met her current husband Warren Smith in 1992. She spent many years working as an activities aide for The Maine Veterans Home in Augusta, Maine.  She was well known for her mismatched socks and flashy and colorful hats.  Always singing and dancing to help brighten the resident's day. In 2012 she moved to Sebring, Florida with Warren.  She enjoyed swimming, Red Hats Society, playing pertanque and singing in the church choir. She made friends wherever she went until her passing. She is survived by her loving husband, Warren; children; Michelle Rooney (Earl); Simon Thorne (Michelle); Tracy Noel (Chris); Todd Smith (Karen); Steven Smith (Nikki); sister, Linda Skipper. Surviving are also eight grandchildren; Brittany, Kylie, Jordan, Tyler, Brooke, Hailey, Emma and Khloe; one great-grandchild, Reese. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Pauline. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 22, 2022 in Skowhegan, ME from 1pm-3pm at 37 Main St, Skowhegan, ME 04976. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Patti’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
