Patricia Erin Mckenna-Gluck

Patricia "Patty" Erin McKenna-Gluck, 61, of Sebring, FL, passed away on November 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 17, 1963, in Washington, DC, to the late John and Helen Francis McKenna, Patty lived a full and beautiful life, of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

For the past 20 years, Sebring was home to Patty, where she built a life rich with connections. She is survived by her devoted husband, Gregory Gluck; her cherished daughter, Eleanor “Elle” Gluck (son-in-law, Andrew Olsen); her siblings Joanne Fay, Katherine Bond, and Mary McKenna; and one beloved grandchild, Eleanor Olson, who brought her joy. Sadly, she was preceded by her brothers, John and Tim McKenna. She was a proud and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Patty’s family was the heart of her world.

Patty was known for her deep love of animals, a passion she carried throughout her life. Whether riding horses, caring for her dogs, or advocating for animal welfare, she was happiest surrounded by her four-legged friends. Her nurturing spirit extended to all she met—she had a remarkable ability to connect with people. She was a natural conversationalist, earning her the nickname "Chatty Patty" as she effortlessly formed friendships wherever she went.

Patty’s adventurous soul led her to explore the world alongside Greg, her steadfast partner in life and travel. Their love story began with  their marriage aboard a cruise ship, setting the stage for a lifetime of journeys together, from the Caribbean to Alaska and the Mediterranean. Together, they shared a passion for art glass, curating a stunning collection that adorned their home. As an avid skier, Patty found joy on the slopes, from Beaver Creek to Lake Tahoe. She also delighted in supporting Greg during his boat racing adventures in California and Arizona, always accompanied by their daughter, Elle.

Patty’s memory will live on in the lives she touched and the love she shared. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Her zest for life and kindheartedness made the world a brighter place.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM at St Catherine Catholic Church, 820 Hickory St, Sebring, FL. The family welcomes friends to the visitation prior to the mass, starting at 1:00 PM in the St Catherine Catholic Church Parish Hall.  Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
