Patricia Ann Leo

Patricia Ann Dewey of Sebring, Florida & Rockwood, Maine:  Patricia Ann Dewey (Patty), 48,  passed away unexpectedly at home on September 29, 2021.  She was born October 16, 1972, the daughter of Rosemary Donnelly and Richard Dewey.

Patty grew up in Rockwood, Maine where she formed many, long-lasting friendships. In 2003, she relocated to New Jersey and then moved to Florida in 2013, where she appreciated the warm weather.  Patty was well known for her strong work ethic as a child protective caseworker for the State of Florida and was well loved by her colleagues. Words best said by Patty's loving father and sentiments shared by her mother:  “Death came as a thief in the night and stole you from us. My heart is broken as I cannot say I love you one more time, to tell you how proud I was of you, I cannot tell you goodbye. I have loved you from the first time I saw you and held you and how I so wish that death had come for me and not for you. You are one of the three greatest gifts in my life and my world is a little darker now. The tears will dry but the hole in my heart will never mend. I pray we will see each other again.”

Patty is survived by her loving parents, Rosemary Donnelly and Richard Dewey (wife Anna), husband Vincent Leo Jr.; her brother Richard Dewey and wife Alana, sister Rosemary (Rose) Sullivan and husband Scott, sister in law Erin Strehlow, step-children Victoria Leo, Vincent Leo III and Kim Leo, as well as grandchildren Vincent and Isaac.  In addition, she is survived by a niece Brittney Dewey, nephew Logan Dewey and wife Kensley, and niece Lea Dewey.  Patty had a very special relationship with her nieces and nephew and served as a second mother to all three.  She had not yet had a chance to meet her great nephews, Desmond and Miles, in person.  In addition, she is survived by her aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends.  She is predeceased by grandparents Richard and Elsie Dewey as well as Richard and Mary Donnelly with whom she shared a very special bond. Funeral services will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers, Patty's parents have asked that donations be made for the support of her sister Rose and husband. Patty supported this fund and would have asked for the same: Love, prayers and support for Scott and Rose
