Park Thomas Devane

Park Thomas DeVane, age 68 from Wauchula, Florida, died Sunday, June 20, 2010 at his home in the Maude community of Hardee County. Mr. DeVane served 4 years in the United States Navy. He worked 30 years for the City of Avon Park and retired in 2009. He was a member of Corinth Primitive Baptist Church. He was a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, Inc. Tom grew up in Sebring, Florida and was the son of the late Park T. DeVane and Alma Morgan DeVane. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Linda Wingate DeVane; two sons-Morgan and wife Michele of Sebring, Florida Michael and wife Betsy of Land O-Lakes, Florida and daughter-Melissa Robinson and husband Johnny of Freeport, Florida; grandchildren-Micaela and Morgan Edward DeVane of Sebring, Florida, Nikolas and Mia DeVane of Land-O-Lakes, Florida and Dalton Robinson of Freeport, Florida; sisters-Shirley Kitchings of Sebring, Florida, Evelyn Brantley and husband Jim of Lake Wales, Florida, and brother-Howard and wife Nancy of Bokeelia, Florida, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, Florida with Elder Lloyd Cunningham and Elder Marvin Wingate officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (1 hour prior to service) at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hart Cemetery. Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Avon Park
