Oscar (Sayavedra) Castellanos Oscar Castellanos, age 67, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014 in Orlando, Florida. He was born in Mission, Texas on July 16, 1947 to Camilo and Guadalupe (Lupercio) Sayavedra. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant serving during Viet Nam. He was of the Catholic Faith and was a resident of Avon Park since 1967 coming from Texas. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Castellanos of Avon Park; Sons , Oscar Castellanos, Jr, (April) of Orlando, FL and Dallas Castellanos of Arizona; Daughters, Maria Lynn Castellanos (David) of Orlando, FL and Amber Castellanos of Wauchula, FL; God Daughter, Brittany Jones, of Orlando, FL. Brothers, Dr. Leo Sayaverdra (Imelda) of College Station, TX, Alphonso Sayavedra (Marina) of Mission TX, David Sayavedra (Dalia) of San Antonio, TX, and Ramiro Sayavedra (Janie) of Mission, TX; Sister, Guadalupe Bueno of Raymondville, TX ; five Grandchildren ; He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Rosario Fausto. Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Avon Park, from 5:00 - 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 2:30 pm at the New Progressive Church of God by Faith, with Military Honors .
