Oscar Antonio Alvarado, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a man of unwavering faith, passed away on October 12, 2023, in Sebring, Florida, at the age of 74.

Oscar was born on June 13, 1949, in Tipitapa, Nicaragua. He was a devoted family man, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. He is survived by his loving wife, Alba Nubia Alvarado, and his children: Karla (Tony), Boni (Nayda), Oscar (Alba Luz), Johanna, Javier (Jackie), Marlon (Sonia), Emily (Tim), and Agustin. Oscar was also a proud grandfather to Victor Oscar, Tatiana (Matthew), Meybellins, Nick, Robert, Katherine, Kaylani, Christhopher, Kaedan, Greidys, Keilyn, and Eric.


Oscar's passions were abundant and diverse, ranging from the joy of family gatherings to engaging in community service. His delight in watching cartoons with his grandchildren was a testament to his youthful spirit and enduring love for family. He reveled in sharing laughter and creating cherished memories and was always the first pick during the family kickball tournaments. Oscar's benevolent heart was evident through his dedicated involvement in Emaús at St. Monica Catholic Church, his volunteer efforts at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, and simply being there to assist others in their time of need, especially during his time serving as a Firefighter.

Oscar was a man of God, embodying the virtues of kindness, generosity, and compassion. His love and devotion to his faith were inspirational, leaving a memorable mark on the lives of all who knew him. He epitomized strength, protection, and family values, embracing his role as the protector of his family.

Oscar will be greatly missed by all the loved ones who survived him, but none of us will forget the memories he has given us over the years. We are blessed to have loved him and enjoyed him during his short time on Earth with us, but this is not goodbye - it is a see you soon. We love you, Oscar, Papa, Oski, Mi Viejito, Abuelo, Ito!

Oscar nació el 13 de junio de 1949 en Tipitapa, Nicaragua. Era un hombre devoto a su familia que apreciaba cada momento que pasaba con sus seres queridos. Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Alba Nubia Alvarado, y sus hijos: Karla (Tony), Boni (Nayda), Oscar (Alba Luz), Johanna, Javier (Jackie), Marlon (Sonia), Emily (Tim), y Agustin. Oscar también fue un abuelo orgulloso de Victor Oscar, Tatiana (Matthew), Meybellins, Nick, Robert, Katherine, Kaylani, Christhopher, Kaedan, Greidys, Keilyn y Eric.


Las pasiones de Oscar eran abundantes y diversas, desde la alegría de las reuniones familiares hasta participar en el servicio comunitario. Su placer al ver muñequitos con sus nietos fue un testimonio de su espíritu juvenil y su amor duradero por la familia. Le encantaba compartir risas, crear recuerdos preciados y siempre era la primera elección durante los juegos familiares de kickball. El corazón benévolo de Oscar fue evidente a través de su participación dedicada en Emaús en la Iglesia Católica de Santa Mónica, sus esfuerzos como voluntario en la Iglesia Católica de Santa Catalina y simplemente estando allí para ayudar a otros en sus momentos de necesidad, especialmente durante su tiempo como bombero.

Oscar era un hombre de Dios que encarnaba las virtudes de la amabilidad, la generosidad y la compasión. Su amor y devoción a su fé, fueron inspiración y dejaron una huella memorable en las vidas de todos los que lo conocieron.
