Orville Donald Cole

Orville Donald Cole, age 83 passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Mr. Cole was born in Flint, Michigan to Donald Orville and Eva Marion (Sargent) Cole. Mr. Cole was a truck drive, member of the VFW, American Legion and the Moose Lodge; he served in the United States Navy during World War II and had been a resident of Avon Park since 1999 coming from Montrose, Michigan. He is survived by his children-Frances Egan of Flint, Michigan, Rosan Polk (Ron) of Montrose, Michigan, Sharon Cole of Flushing, Michigan, Janet Murphy (Randy) of Clio, Michigan, Terry Emmendorfer (Mark) of Montrose, Michigan and Eva Thompson (Kirk) of Avon Park, Florida; sister-Eileen Eldred of Montrose, Michigan; 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years-Elizabeth Cole. A memorial service will be held with Active Military Honors Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Avon Park VFW, 75 North Olivia Drive, Avon Park, Florida 33825.
