OPAL SCHOOLCRAFT WILSON WOODSON Opal Schoolcraft Wilson Woodson, born July 14, 1924 at home in Barberton, Ohio, the oldest daughter of Homer and Ada Perkins Schoolcraft. She married. J. Ward Wilson on July 15, 1944, he preceded her in death on April 21, 1976. Also preceding her were her parents, brother, Daynus Perkins, infant sister, Bernice, sister, Garnet Byrd, Emma Purcell and Patricia Smith. She is survived by husband, Edward Woodson, whom she married in 1981; daughters, Frances Eileen (Wayne) Hoobler of Shelly, NC and Karen Elizabeth (Tom) Zeitz of Sebring, FL, Step-Daughter Sharon (Dave) Wert of Sebring, step-sons, Daniel (Denise) Woodson, of Ohio and Edward (Charlotte) Woodson, Jr. of Ohio; sister, Dorothy Anderson, of Texas; brothers Gilbert (Shirley) Schoolcraft of Ohio and Virgil (Betty) Schoolcraft of Texas; Granddaughters, Karen Rearick, Ohio, Wendy Hite, Ohio; Grandsons, Todd Hoobler, Georgia, Brian Hoobler, Montana, Donald Hoobler, Japan, Wayde Finnicum, Indiana, Derick Finnicum, Indiana; 4 great grandsons and 6 great granddaughters, several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren She attended Scio High School, Scio, Ohio and graduated cosmetology school in Dover, Ohio. She attends Parkway Freewill Baptist Church in Sebring, Florida. She moved to Sebring in 1994 from Scio, Ohio. Visitation will be held at the Stephenson-Nelson funeral Home on Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 2:00 -4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Scaggs officiating. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery on Monday, May 2, 2011 with Rev. Robert Thorne officiating; Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association or to Good Shepherd Hospice.
