Oliver “Mickey” F. Shoffner Jr. 67, passed away peacefully in the comforts of his home, on June 16, 2021. A loving Father, Brother, Uncle and Friend. Mickey enjoyed life, the great outdoors, fishing and tinkering around the house. He was no stranger to hard work. As a child he worked right along with the rest of the family in the fields planting, harvesting caring for the family’s land. As life would have it, Mickey endured all the unexpected challenges life would throw at him. He stood tall and always maintained his course. His love for life, people in his life and the strangers who he met along the way, provided all the comfort, and joy each day. Mickey touched the lives of many, he could often be heard singing with a voice that would please all that listen. He made his living in building construction. He earned a reputation for being one of the best Dry Wall hangers in the area. He would always put others before himself. Mickey was preceded in death by his parents; Oliver “Fut” Shoffner Sr and Ally “Hester” Shoffner and is survived by his Son; Derrick Stadie and his wife Heather, his Sisters; Barbara, Jeanetta and Betty and brother Johnny. He is also survived by his former spouse Marie Sullivan, who blessed him with his son Derrick his nieces, Rebecca and Rhonda along with dozens of others nieces and nephews. Mickey Touched the Lives of many and will be dearly missed.
