OFELIA R. HERNANDEZ Ofelia R. Hernandez, 52, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012, in Sebring. She was born May 14, 1960, to Juan and Theodora (Andaverde) Rivera in Mercedes, Texas, and had been a resident of Sebring since 2005, coming from Wauchula, FL. She had been employed as a Miner in the Phosphate Mine industry and was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Sebring. She is survived by her husband, James B. Hernandez; children, Jamey Rivera, age 22; Anthony Rivera, age 18 and Augustine Rivera Hernandez, age 14, all of Sebring. She is also survived by her brothers, Juan and Norma Rivera, McAllen, TX; Roberto and Glida Rivera, Avon Park, FL; Alfonso and Maria Rivera, Mercedes, TX; Francisco and Angelina Rivera, Wauchula, FL; Martin and Flora Rivera, Bowling Green, FL; Paulino and Terry Rivera, Georgia; Rey Rivera, Tallahassee, FL; sisters, Maria and Jose Escobedo, Wauchula Hills, FL and Carmen Rivera, Bowling Green, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Raul Rivera and George Rivera. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at St. Catherine Catholic Church, with Father Jose Gonzalez officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, FL immediately following the service.
