NORMAN EDWARD WELTER Norman Edward Welter, 78, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Monday, May 7, 2012, in Gainesville, Florida. He was born March 17, 1934, to William Peter and Margaret (Fink) Welter in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1989, coming from Hollywood, Florida. He was Owner and Mechanic from 1970 until 2005 of Welters Automotive in Hollywood, FL and was also a Rancher. He was affiliated with St. Catherine Catholic Church in Sebring. He is survived by his children, Norman (Lorraine) Welter, Jr., Dania Beach, FL; Elaine Wadlinger, Sebring, FL; Larry (Michelle) Welter, Bronson, FL; Don (Susan) Welter, Greer, SC; Helen Welter, Sebring, FL and Bob (Denise) Welter, Pembroke Pines, FL; siblings, Bill Welter; Lois Zellefrow; Marlene Nagle; Richard Welter and Carol Ann Shay; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and his beloved best friend, "Spanky". The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012, in the Stephenson-Nelson Chapel with Father Jose Gonzalez officiating. Entombment at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, will follow the service. Because of his great love of animals, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Humane Society of Highlands County, 7321 Haywood Taylor Blvd, Sebring, FL 33876.
