NORMAN R. RUSSAK Norman R. Russak, 91, of Sebring, Florida, passed away July 9, 2010, with his caring sons by his side. Norman was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 3, 1918, to Reginald and Frieda Russak. He was married for 68 years to his wonderful and loving wife, Margaret, Polly, who predeceased him in 2006. He and Polly enjoyed many years of travel both here and abroad. They loved playing cards with friends and family and spent special time with those confined to hospitals and nursing homes. Norman served his country in the U.S. Navy on a destroyer escort during World War II. He worked for Krugs Bakery in New York, had a smoked fish business in Miami and retired from Frito-Lay. After retiring, he worked for the Pineapple Plantation on US 27 south of Lake Placid. Norman moved into The Palms of Sebring a couple of years ago and will be missed by his many friends and acquaintances. Norma is survived by his two sons, Paul of Oregon and George of Maine and his sister, Eleanor of California. A Memorial Service will take place at the First Presbyterian Church in Avon Park on Thursday, July 15, at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements were entrusted to: Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Sebring, Florida 33870 863-385-0125
