NORMAN JAMES ELLIOTT, II Norman James Elliot, II, age 75, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2011 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 17, 1936 to Norman James and Lenore Evelyn (Parent) Elliott. He was a Contractor in the construction industry; attended First Baptist Church of Avon Park; served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Elks Lodge # 1529. He enjoyed camping, RVing, bowling and playing the guitar and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and working this past summer at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN. He had been a resident of Avon Park since 1976, coming from Pompano Beach, FL. He is survived by his Wife of 55 years, Jo Anne Elliott; Sons, Norman James Elliott, III (Catherine) and Bill Elliott (Mary), of Avon Park; Daughter, Danielle Young (Terry) of Palm Harbor, FL; Mother, Lenore Elliott of Beaverton, Michigan; Brother, Gerald Elliott, MI; Sisters, Judy Barkley, MI, Sharon Robinson, Oregon and Karen Duka of MI; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, Sebring, with Rev. Tiger Gullett officiating. The family will receive friends the hour preceding the service, beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will be at a later date.
