Norma Louise Jones

Norma L. Jones, age 91, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at her SIM Lodge home in Sebring, FL. She was born in Columbus Grove, OH on January 18, 1921 to Clarence and Velma (Stephens) Jones. She was a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and gave her life to missionary service. Norma served 42 years with SIM and was one of the early missionaries to the Dinka people in Southern Sudan arriving on the field in the spring of 1946. When the missionaries were expelled from Sudan in 1964, she began working at the SIM US Headquarters for another 22 years. She retired to the SIM Retirement Village in 1991. She is survived by one niece. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 in the SIM Chapel at 10:00 AM. A graveside service at Pinecrest Cemetery will follow at 11:30 AM.
