NORA WALDRON CORBETT Nora Waldron Corbett, age 88, a lifelong resident of Sebring, Florida, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012, in Sebring. She was born in Sebring to Ivey L. and Betty (O'Berry) Waldron on July 24, 1924 and was a graduate of Sebring High School Class of 1940. She worked for the Highlands County School Board for 18 years and the Sebring News for 18 years and was a member of first Baptist Church of Lake Josephine. She enjoyed the Highlands Little Theatre, playing the piano, traveling and was very active in her church. She was also a Citrus Grower and Honorary Member of the Florida Sheriff's Association. She was preceded in death in 2007 by her husband, Henry "Curly" Corbett and is survived by her brother, Woodrow Waldron of Wauchula; sisters, Dianne Cobb (Charles) of Palm Bay and Lorelle Waldron of Melbourne, and also by several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at Pinecrest Cemetery, Sebring, with Rev. Allen Altvater officiating. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Rd., Sebring, FL 33870 or Dunklin Memorial Camp, 3342 S.W. Hosana Lane, Okeechobee, FL 34974.
