Noel Ray Wilcox

Noel Ray Wilcox, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, in Sebring, Florida. He was born on December 11, 1942, in Muncie, Indiana the son of the late Jesse Ray and Anice (Cross) Wilcox. Noel retired as an ESE Paraprofessional for the Highlands County School Board, was a Baptist by faith, and was a member of the Athletics Association at Lake Placid. Originally from Missouri, Noel has been a resident of Highlands County since 1976, moving to Lake Placid from Sarasota. Noel enjoyed coaching high school basketball and little league baseball in Lake Placid. He is survived by his loving wife, Janette; son, Sylvan Ray Wilcox and daughter-in-law, Denise of Sebring, Florida; sisters, Juanita Weber of Sebring and Gloria Simmons of Urbana, Missouri. Surviving are also two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandson, Phillip Ray Wilcox. A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 22, 2022 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the Crystal Lake Clubhouse 533 E. Crystal Lake Dr. Avon Park, Florida.
