Neville Clinton Fletcher, age 79, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, in Sebring, FL.
Born on May 13, 1946, in Boston, Jamaica, to the late Eunice Walker and Georgie Fletcher, Neville lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service. He was a man of deep conviction and quiet strength, known for his unwavering dedication.
In his early years, Neville worked at the prestigious Frenchman’s Cove Hotel in Jamaica, as a waiter, where he developed a strong sense of discipline and a passion for hard work. In 1970, he left Jamaica to come to the United States on a farm work contract—an opportunity that marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life. It was in America that he met the love of his life, Peggy, who would become his beloved wife of 52 years.
Neville eventually transitioned into a career as a professional truck driver, a role that reflected his tireless work ethic and steadfast commitment to providing for his family. However, his greatest devotion was to his faith. He proudly served as a Deacon at Victory Tabernacle Apostolic Church in Avon Park, where he was a spiritual pillar and a source of encouragement and inspiration to many.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Peggy Fletcher; his children: Delsie (Albert) Wilson, Neville Coleman, Carlyne (Franklyn) Dixon, and Dermott (Sandra) Lawson; His sisters: Yvonne Barrett and Merline Fletcher; 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; God-children: Sharon Blackstock-Sanders; Fredrika Pendleton ; Keon Truitt; Ricara Dixon and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Neville was preceded in death by his parents, (sons) Clinton Fletcher and Lindsey Walker; (grandson) Clinton(Rakeed) Fletcher. He now joins them in eternal rest. His legacy of faith, and integrity will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
