Navarat (Rebecca) Sriwoi (O’Neil) was born December 31st, 1995. She died unexpectedly following a battle with mental illness on May 9th, 2022.
Rebecca was a hardworking, shy, generous, beautiful, and courageous woman. She had an extraordinary honesty about her and the way she lived her life. She wore her heart on her sleeve and moved through life with passion and intensity. She made brave choices including raising her children as an independent woman and leaving her home country at the age of 12. All of this made her such a special person to know. She had to learn English when she came to the US, and largely taught herself by watching Disney and shows like ICarly on TV which made for interesting conversations. Thankfully, she also had help from a very special teacher to improve her English, whom Rebecca adored. She loved animals and as a kid nurtured bunnies, a horse, cows, and a guinea pig - many of them named Momo. As an adult, she raised fish, cats, a bunny, and finally had gotten the Dalmatian that she had always wanted. She enjoyed cooking and made the best sticky rice with Mango. She always loved kids, and they loved her - she had an ability to make a quick bond with little ones. She was known as a caring and dedicated nurse’s aide at her job at an elderly care facility in Sebring.
Rebecca was born in Wiang Pa Pao, Thailand to Rodney O'Neil and Sangiam Sriwoi. She lived there with her brother Thanawat (Steven) and sister Piyatida (Sita). Her father passed in 1998. She continued to live in Wiang Pa Pao in northern Thailand with her mom until 2009, at which time she moved to the United States to live with her uncle John O'Neil and aunt Jill O'Neil. She attended high school at Mesabi East in Aurora, MN. She continued to live and work in Aurora after high school until she relocated to Sebring, Florida in 2016. She had 2 daughters, Amasia Jayde O'Neil and Anaya Makayla O'Neil who were the ultimate focus and joy in her life. She is survived by her daughters, her mother Sangiam Sriwoi, grandmother Pun Intarach, sister and extended loving family in Thailand, as well and many other close family members in the United States including her brother Thanawat (Steven) Sriwoi (O’Neil), and adoptive family John and Jill O'Neil, who primarily cared for her in the United States, siblings John O’Neil Jr., Anna O’Neil, and Jonah Pulju, as well as many other extended family members who loved her dearly.
