Naomi H Born

Naomi Born passed away October 4, 2016 in Sebring, Florida at the age of 93. Naomi was born to Harry and Mary Haedt on October 17, 1922 in Decoria Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota. She married H. Arlo Born on December 15, 1944 in Mankato, Minnesota. Naomi graduated from Mankato High School in 1939 at the age of sixteen. After two years of teachers college she was teaching at the age of eighteen. She graduated with her four year degree from Mankato State College in 1959. Naomi touched many lives as a first grade teacher at Franklin and Jefferson Elementary Schools in Mankato until retirement in 1978. She is survived by a daughter, Pat Marren, of Sebring, Florida, a son, Gregg and wife Vicki of Antigo, Wisconsin, four grandchildren, Sean and wife Amy of Evansville, Indiana, Tracee of West Allis, Wisconsin, Chris of Sebring, Florida, Megan and Fiancé Amrik of Chaska, Minnesota, great granddaughters, Carissa, Brenna, and great-great grandson, Curren. Naomi is survived by a sister, Mary Lee Kragt and husband Pat of Sebring, Florida and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arlo, son, Ron, son-in-law, Patrick Marren, sisters, Betty, Sada, adopted sister Daisy, and second husband Stan.
