NANCY JANE CARTER JENNINGS Nancy Jane Carter Jennings of Sebring, Florida, went to be with her Lord and Savior July 5, 2010. Nancy was born in Sullivan, Indiana to Tony and Grace Wible Carter on August 30, 1928. She was raised in Sullivan. Nancy met and married her husband, Lee Jennings, in Terre Haute, Indiana shortly after WW II. Nancy and her family moved from Indiana in 1953 to California, where they resided in Covina, Arcadia, Oceanside and Bakersfield. Nancy attended Pasadena City College in Pasadena, California, where she completed her nursing degree, graduating as class salutatorian in 1962. She retired from Tri-City Hospital as head medical-surgical nurse in February, 1987. She also worked at Arcadia Medical Clinic for ten years. Nancy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Lee Eugene Jennings and her children, Mark Eugene Jennings of Sebring and Judy Lee Ruziecki of Tehachapi, CA. She is also survived by four granddaughters; Shandon Lee Williams and Melynee Jane Gallegos, of Tehachapi, CA; Melyssa Lee Banda of Foothill Ranch, CA; U.S. Air Force Captain Mandi Lee Fuller of Cheyenne, WY and seven great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Sebring Village Clubhouse, Rev. Andrew Katsanis officiating.
