N.A. Durham

N.A. Durham, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 in Avon Park, FL. He was born in Rosalie, AL on August 6, 1925 to the late Warren and Julia (Horton) Durham. Mr. Durham had been a resident of Avon Park since 1958 having come from Flatrock, AL. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and working in the yard. He loved to eat fried potatoes, pinto beans and cornbread. He especially loved his family. Mr. Durham was a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church in Flatrock, AL. He is survived by his daughters: Cathy Ragan and Gwen Durham both of Avon Park, FL; grandchildren: Tina (Frank) Nelson of Sebring, Stephen Glass of Avon Park, Jennifer (John) Barton of Avon Park; great-grandchildren: Zachary Ragan and Tristan Nelson. Mr. Durham was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years: Wilma Durham. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, FL followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. Burial will take place at the Bougainvillea Cemetery in Avon Park.
