Myrtle Sue Morris Lewis

March 11, 1955 – May 1, 2015

Sue was the first child of Coy and Christine Davis Morris and was born in Stuttgart, Germany while her parents were assigned there with the U.S. Army.  Sue was raised in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from high school there.  She started work for the government as a computer operator and then progressed to become a Criminal Investigator for the IRS and U.S. Treasury Department.  Sue received a Black Belt in Ninjitsu Karate when she was 22 and taught Karate for several years.  She transferred to Dallas, TX in 1987 when she was promoted as an Investigator, and also served as a Firearms Instructor for her agency.  She met her husband, David E Lewis, and they were married in their home in Anna, TX on February 17, 1990.  Sue was an avid quilter and was a member and past President of the McKinney Quilters’ Guild.  Sue is survived by her husband, David, her brother Daniel William Morris of Colbert, GA, her sister Trudy Duke of Atlanta, GA, step daughter, Amber Brown and granddaughter, Alex Brown of Melissa, TX.  Her parents predeceased her.  Sue died from cancer while in Lake Placid, Florida.  Sue was cremated and her ashes spread at her family plot in Highland Cemetery, Melissa, TX.
