Myra Lee Hanni, age 86, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in Avon Park, Florida. Mrs. Hanni was a Public Health Administrator for the State of Florida; member of the American Public Health Assoc., member of the Florida Public Health Assoc., member of the American Nurses Assoc., member of the Florida Nurses Assoc., Foundation Board of Florida Hospital, Past President of Broward County Health Planning Assoc., Recipient of the Florida Meritorious Service Award for Public Health, Member of the First United Methodist Church in Avon Park and Parker Methodist Church in Raeford, North Carolina; she received her registered Nurse Certificate at Watts School of Nursing, she received her Bachelors and Masters from the University of North Carolina, she had been a resident of Avon Park since 1989 coming from Margate, Florida. Mrs. Hanni is survived by her sons-Gregory Alan Lentz (Carin) and Robert Earl Lentz; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband-Herman Squier Hanni, sons-Sidney Lentz, James Bomba and Wayne Bomba and a brother-Robert Mott. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Avon Park with Rev. Gary Pendrak officiating.
