Muriel Joan Romig

Muriel Joan Romig passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 in Avon Park, Florida at the age of 92. The daughter of Otto and Margaret (Brunke) Hering. She was born on August 19, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois. She worked as a bookkeeper, was of Lutheran faith and has been a resident of Highlands County since 1987, having come from Marcellus, Michigan. She is survived by her loving sons – David Romig of Sebring, Florida, and Alan Romig (Cathy) of Michigan. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren Brittany and Katie. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerald J. Romig and brother Robert Hering.
