Mitchell Timmons, Jr.

Mitchell Timmons, Jr., age 76, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016 in Sebring, FL. He was born on June 18, 1940 in Mt. Airy, NC to the late Mitchell Morfield and Ruby Ethyline (Boyd) Timmons. Mitchell had been a resident of Avon Park since 2004 having come from Davie, FL. He owned his own painting business and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mitchell loved to read, do puzzles, golf, watch sports, and spend time with his family. He is survived by his wife: Rose Marie Timmons of Avon Park, FL; children: Mitchell Timmons (Janice) of Hollywood, FL; Donna Paternina (David) of Davie, FL; Danny Timmons (Bonnie) of Ocala, FL; Dwayne Timmons of Ocklawaha, FL; brother: Gary Timmons (Justine) of Mt. Airy, NC; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mitchell was preceded in death by siblings: Jimmy Timmons and Nancy Nelson. A visitation for family and friends will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, FL with a service to follow at 2 p.m.
