Milton Roy Bass

Milton Roy Bass, age 89, went to Heaven on July 18, 2018 and is now walking tall with his Lord. He was born on November 25, 1928 in Lake Wales, FL to William and Lenora Howell Bass. Milton had been an Avon Park resident since 1960, coming from Lake Wales. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Avon Park and served as Deacon, property manager, and was an RA leader. He was also the past secretary of IBEW. Milton proudly served his country in the Unites States Army. He is survived by his wife Mary Bass of Avon Park, FL; his daughters, Rebecca (Steve) Michael of Chattanooga, TN, Cindy (Don) Booth of Avon Park, FL and Tammy Luckhart of Chattanooga, TN. He is also survived by his sister, Kaye Sauls of West Palm Beach, FL; Brothers, Howard (Sharon) Bass of San Diego, CA and Wayne (Penny) Bass of Lake Wales, FL; Eight grandchildren, Kevin (Jade), Amanda, Allison (Chop), Natalie (Josh), Lauren, Whitney, Michael, Allison and also 14 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his grandson Kristopher Wayne Michael. A visitation will be held Saturday July 21, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, FL and the service will be on Sunday July 22, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Avon Park.
Interment will follow in Bougainvillea Cemetery, Avon Park, FL.
Memorial contributions may be made to The First Baptist Church of Avon Park Building Fund.
