MILDRED MILLIE ARLENE LEARNED Mildred Millie Arlene Learned, 87, of Port Huron, Michigan and Sebring, Florida, entered Heaven on March 27, 2010, in Sebring, after a brief illness. She was born July 30, 1922, to the late Russell and Inez (McDonald) Harrison in Port Huron and married George T. Learned on August 6, 1949 in Port Huron. Millie dedicated her life to serving the Lord, and with her husband, lived 40 years in Nigeria and Niger Republic under what was then known as the Sudan Interior Mission. Most of those years were spent at the Aguie Bible School on the edge of the Sahara Desert, where together they trained national Christian leaders. She was a member of Griswold Street Baptist Church in Port Huron and Whispering Pines Baptist Church in Sebring. Millie is survived by her Husband, George; three Children, Cathleen (Paul) Sauve of Lapeer, Michigan; Carmen (Tim) North of Port Huron and Paul (Lucy) Learned of Parma, Michigan; 12 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a Son, Thomas H. Learned. Visitation with family and friends will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at SIM Fellowship Hall in Sebring. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2010, in the SIM Chapel, Sebring, with interment in Port Huron. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to SIM Aguie Bible School, c/o 4114 Nigeria Street, Sebring, Florida 33875.
