Michael Muse

Michael Lawrence Muse 77 passed away peacefully at his home in Sebring, Florida on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 surrounded by family. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on March 30, 1949, son of the late Irvin and Mary Muse. 

Mike was fiercely devoted to his family, and was a man who spent his life caring for the people around him. He’d never hesitate to lend a hand to anyone who needed it, family and otherwise. An electrician by trade, but a family man at heart, everything he built was for the people he loved. He is survived by his wife, Jackie, whom he married on September 22, 1967 in Hallandale, Florida, two children, Kim and Mark Muse (& Allen Wright), two sisters, Sandra (& Wendell) Denney and Becky (& Ernest) DeBord, two grandchildren, Jeremy Muse and Brandon Tingle. He was preceded in death by his parents. 

No funeral service will be held. Mike will be cremated, and his family will honor his memory privately. Those wishing to pay their respects are welcome to reach out to the family directly. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Vitas Hospice Care located 3315 Medical Hill Rd. Sebring, Florida 33870. The family would like to thank the Vitas Hospice Care team, and the Critical Care Unit at Advent Health Sebring. Mike’s love and devotion to his family will be dearly missed.
