Michael Ray Logsdon, age 67, passed away on Tuesday June 22, 2021 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on June 5, 1954 in Vine Grove, Kentucky. Raised in Radcliff, Kentucky by Marvin and Betty (Fitzgibbon) Logsdon. Mike graduated from North Hardin High School, class of 1972. After graduation he received his Bachelor of Science from Western Kentucky University in 1977 and a Master of Education from Florida Atlantic University in 1985. Mike recently celebrated 43 years of marriage to Vanessa (Sturgeon) Logsdon. After living a year in Glasgow, Kentucky, then settled in Belle Glade, Florida where Mike was an Assistant Principle at Moore Haven High School before becoming a teacher, first with the Highlands County School system and later in the State Prison system. He retired in 2016. Mike was an avid golfer, including at one time teaching golf for Palm Beach (then) Jr. College. He was a member of the Elks in Belle Glade and the Kiwanis in Sebring, but his true passion was at Highlands Lakeside Theatre where he was an award winning member, performer, director and had served on the Board of Directors. Mike had a quick wit and a dry sense of humor. His comedic timing and delivery was excellent. He played low stakes family poker often without looking at his cards. Mike was predeceased by his mother Betty and brother. Survivors include his father, Marvin, his wife, Vanessa, several aunts and uncles and numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements are pending. Memorial contributions may be made to Highlands Lakeside Theatre, PO Box 691, Sebring, Florida 33871 or online at https://highlandslakesidetheatre.org/contribute-3/.
