Michael James Hover

Michael (Mick) Hover of Highlands Ridge, Avon Park, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sue: three children, Kristi Slenker, Mike Hover and Kim Stahl; four grandchildren, Samantha, Mitchell, Blake and Austin. He was a retired educator, teaching and coaching over thirty years in Indiana. While he enjoyed golf, traveling and camping, fishing and hunting were his passion. Mick was a lifetime member of the Elks Club and also belonged to the American Legion, Moose Lodge and VFW and Eagles. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Franklin College Basketball Program, P.O. Box 85, Elwood, Indiana 46036. Arrangements were entrusted to the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home.
