Merle James Davidson

Merle James(JIM) Davidson (1940-2025) joined his childhood sweetheart Dolores(Dee) Davidson in heaven on February 4,2025.  Jim and Dee were married 61 years.Merle was predeceased by a son Steven Michael Jobe Davidson, father Merle Jack Davidson, sisters Marjorie(Ron) Test, Mary(Orlin) Haynes.
Survived by son Mark Davidson and son in law Todd Soper, mother Betty Crowell, sisters Jackie(Bob) Waligora, Ruth(David) Deike and brother Richard(Pat) Davidson. Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He graduated as class salutatorian from Industrial High School in Dunkirk, NY. He served a short time in the U.S. Naval Reserve.  He worked at the GM plant in Tonawanda NY while continuing his education.
He retired after 30 years and started a business installing and servicing septic systems in the milder months and wintering in Avon Park.He bought a home in Little Red Water Estates and as other homes in the neighborhood became available he purchased them and became a generous and well respected landlord to many.
He will be greatly missed by family, friends and neighbors.
