Melvin Walter Mills

Melvin Mills, 79, of Sebring, FL, passed away on Friday, July 01, 2016, at Good Shepherd Hospice, Sebring, FL. He was born July 22, 1936 in Akron, Ohio to the late Walter and Millie (Wise) Mills. Melvin spent his career with the U.S. Navy retiring after 23 years of service as Lieutenant Commander. He owned Radio Shack in Hancock, MD for ten years before moving to Lake Wales, FL. He was a member of Lake Wales Catholic Church. He enjoyed writing and playing golf. Survivors include his wife, Carrie Mills, two sons, David Mills (Ann)-Worthington, MN, Darrin Mills (Andrea)-Sebring, FL; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held in Hancock, MD at a later date.
