Mederia Anne Doran

Mederia Anne Doran passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 in Sebring, Florida at the age of 80. The daughter of Victor and Edna (Donahue) Nettles. She was born on January 21, 1943 in Varnville, SC. Mederia worked as Director at Fairway Pines, having worked at Fairway approximately 20 years, was of southern Baptist faith and has been a resident of Highlands County since 1976, having come from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Mederia enjoyed traveling, shopping, cheering for the Florida Gators and Miami Dolphins. She was an avid PGA fan.

Merderia had an incredible mind for math and was the family spades champion. Most importantly Mederia cherished her time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren which is where she found her most joy, calling each one “Darlin”.

She is survived by her loving daughters – Anne Marie Lang (Brian); Lisa Lovett (Tommy Jr.); brothers – Bobby Nettles (Linda); Randy Nettles (Vicki). Also surviving are 5 grandchildren – Rachael Burger (John), Lindsey Hoffner (Corbin), Jared Lang (Hannah), Cullen Lovett (Cadie), Logan Armstrong (Austin). ; 3 great grandchildren -  Truett Hoffner, Oliver Burger, Tatum Hoffner and Collins Armstrong arriving January of 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband – Richard Patrick Doran who passed Jan. 1998. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home with Pastor Dustin Woods officiating. Burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
