On January 11, 2023, May Frances Fleming peacefully slipped away to her divine appointment to meet God and her family. She was born on November 11, 1953 in Sebring, Florida to the late James and Edna Mae Fleming. She graduated from Avon Park High School in 1972. She was a member at St. Mary's Holiness Church in Christ. She faithfully sang in the church choir and was involved in all the church activities. She enjoyed the love for gardening, family trips, and was very skilled in home decorating. There was not a person she wouldn't talk to and greet with a smile. She was the life of the family and loved by all. Her passing will greatly impact the lives of those left behind, especially her loving and devoted family. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Fleming and sister, Janie Mae Fleming. She leaves behind her loving daughter Miriam Ladrina Weeks (Andrew), and her two precious granddaughters who she dearly loved, Andrea Malaya Hawkins, Andreana May Sheri Hawkins. Also, she leaves behind her sisters Barbara Hawk, Priscilla Williams, Bathsheva Sumpter (Pastor Cyrus Jr.), Faith Glenn (Charlie), brother, Maverick Fleming (Deon) and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, 11:00am, at Union Congregational Church in Avon Park with Pastor Samuel Jones Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, January 20, 2023 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
