Maxine I. Dotson

March 30, 1916 — April 14, 2016

Maxine I. Dotson, age 100, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016 in Sebring, Florida. She was born on March 30, 1916 in Wabash, Indiana to the late Bertram and Dessie (Meyer) Ivins.  Maxine spent her career as an inspector for General Motors. While in Indiana she was a member of O.E.S in Greensboro and CIO-UAW. She moved to Sebring in 1972 from Anderson, Indiana and was a member of St. Johns Methodist Church.  Survivors include her son, Max I. Modlin (Doris)-Leesburg, FL, step-son, Larry Dotson-Anderson, IN, five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Dotson; son, Ronald Modlin; step-son, David Dotson, three brothers and two sisters.  There will be a funeral service on Monday, April 18, 2016, 2:00 p.m., at St. John United Methodist Church with her pastor Ronald DeGenaro, Jr. officiating.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 17, 2016, 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring.
