Maureen Louise Comas

Maureen Louise Comas, 87, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025, in Sebring, Florida. She was born on November 19, 1937, in East New York to the late Nelson and Mary Hellstrom.

Maureen built a life centered around family, hard work, and community. She was a successful mortgage broker, using her expertise and dedication to help many achieve their dreams of homeownership.

Maureen moved to Sebring six years ago from Hollywood, Florida. She was a warm and social person, always bringing people together. She found joy in creating for others, whether it was a home-cooked meal or hosting for the holidays.

She is survived by her children, Tina Hennessey, Robert Oates, and Michael Borino; her foster son, Armondo Cuevas; her siblings, Michael Hellstrom and Cathy Young; thirteen beloved grandchildren; and fifteen cherished great-grandchildren. Maureen was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.  Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
