Maryjane Wilkes

MaryJane Wilkes, 73, of Sebring, Florida passed away Sunday November 26, 2023.  Jane was born in Atlanta on March 17, 1950 to Marion Leland Sparks, Jr and Helen O. Gazaway.  Jane was married to Michael Tillman Wilkes for 37 years. Jane is survived by her husband Mike, sons Gabriel Grantham (Jessica), Casey Grantham, Stephen Wilkes (Mindy) her brothers Marion Leland Sparks, III (Nilda), Dr. Joseph D. Sparks (Jeff), Mark Alan Sparks (Lynne) and two sisters: Harold Anne Smith and Kathy Norma Jean Starkey. Jane attended the University of Florida graduating with her degree in pharmacy. Her career included owning and operating her father’s Sparky’s Medical Center Pharmacy in Sebring and after a brief retirement, returning to pharmacy at Highlands Regional Hospital. Jane loved her family and doted on her twin grandchildren: Troy and Athena. Jane leaves behind many nephews, nieces, cousins and an extended intentional family of friends. Jane lived her life adhering to her beliefs: Love as Jesus taught, judge no one, forgive often, and lift higher everyone you meet. We are grateful for having shared her life. She left the world better for having been in it. Memorial Service will take place 11 a.m. Saturday December 9 at Neighborhood Church in Sebring, Fl.  Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday December 15 at Florida National Cemetery Bushnell, Fl.
