Missionary Mary Lee Tolbert age 81, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010 in Avon Park, Florida. She was the third child born to Oran and Mattie Lou (Williams) Lee on September 2, 1928 in Capps, Alabama. She was a faithful member of the Antioch Church of God in Christ for more than 50 years until her health failed her. She retired from the State of Florida (Alcoholic Rehabilitation Center) after 22 years of service; she had been a resident of Avon Park since 1948 coming from Green Cove Springs, Florida. She leaves to cherish her memory five children-Gary Tolbert (Betty) of Pembroke Pines, Florida, Herman Tolbert (Carolyn) of Silver Springs, Maryland, Larry Tolbert (Gwendolyn) of Orlando, Florida, Reginald Tolbert of Houston, Texas and Deneterices Tolbert Okafor (Kenneth) of Avon Park, Florida; 2 Uncles, Bishop Samuel Williams (Berta) of Chipley, Florida and Mordecai Williams (Cassandra) of Chipley, Florida; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Herman Tolbert, 3 siblings, Henry Lee, Redell McDougald and Mabel Dees. Visitation will be held Friday, April 16, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Faith Pentecostal House of God, 956 West Hal McRae Blvd., Avon Park, Florida with Elder Johnny B. McRae officiating.
