Mary E. Swain

Mary E. Swain 74, of Avon Park, FL passed away on February 6 , 2019 in Wauchula, FL. Mary was born in 1944 to parents William and Sarah Sheets in Troy, AL. Mary was a lifelong resident of Wauchula, FL before moving to Avon Park in 2010. Mary deeply loved her family and enjoyed fishing, cooking, crossword puzzles and attending church at God’s Family Assembly.  Mary was loved by all who knew her and will be missed greatly by her family and friends. Mary is survived by her husband MJ Swain of Avon Park, FL; children Randy (Tina) Swain of Sebring, FL; Rose Marie Swain of Hoover, AL; David Swain of Avon Park, FL; Teresa Swain of Avon Park, FL; Gary (Mary Ellen) Swain of Avon Park, FL; brother Junior (Alene) Sheets of AL; Gene Sheets of FL; James (Linda) Sheets of AL; sisters Esther Mehaffey of AL; Linda (Ray) Giles of AL; 11 Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her Granddaughter Hunter Swain, two brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 10 ^th at Stephenson Nelson Funeral Home, 111 E. Circle St., Avon Park, FL between 2-4 p.m. and funeral services will be held at Pentecostal Holiness Church, 312 S. Avon Estates Blvd. Avon Park, FL with Keith Lightsey and Wrynn Collins officiating with burial in Bougainvillea Cemetery. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the family.
