At the age of 21, Mary Ann ventured to Florida, where she made a new life for herself. In 1976, she became a resident of Sebring, a place she would call home for many years. Mary Ann worked as a dedicated secretary for the state of Florida, where she was known for her diligence and warm spirit.

Mary Ann's love for travel was well known among her family and friends. Whether she was exploring the majestic mountains or relaxing by the ocean, she found peace in the beauty of the outdoors. Her adventurous spirit and appreciation for nature were central to her life.

A woman of strong Protestant faith, Mary Ann found great joy in singing Christian hymns and reading her Bible. Her faith was a guiding light, and she shared it generously with those around her.

Mary Ann is survived by her devoted husband, Frederick Rhoades; her loving children, Jennifer Pollard of Florida and Peter Rhoades of New York; her dear siblings, Carol King and Robin Sherling; and her treasured grandchildren, Benjamin Rhoades, Nicholas Rhoades, and Jenavieve Gonzalez. She will be remembered for her adventurous nature, devotion to her family, generosity, talent, and fun-loving spirit.

Mary Ann's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her life was a testament to the beauty of living fully, loving deeply, and embracing the world with open arms.
