Mary Elizabeth Nickelson

Mary Elizabeth Nickelson (Rife) 82 of Avon Park, FL passed away August 21st ,2023. She was born on July 27, 1941 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Ivan and Mary Rife. Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend.

Mary was a fun-loving lady who lived life to the fullest. She had a passion for dirt track racing where she helped out through the 70s 80s and even was inducted into the Eldora Speedway Hall of Fame in the 80s.  Alongside her husband, they dedicated many years to the sport. After his passing she found solace in a new friend Joe and they embarked on countless motorcycle rides cherishing the freedom of the open road.

Mary is survived by her 4 sons Tyrone Dana (Lisa) Nickelson of Avon Park Fla, Eric Jay (Jane) Nickelson of Galion Ohio, Ivan Grant Nickelson of Avon Park Fla, and John Earl Nickelson the 2nd of Mansfield Ohio.

She is also survived by her 7 Grandchildren Kyle Patrick, Kristen Nickelson, Joshua Hawkins, Jasmine Catania, Ashley Nickelson, Nichole (Hoover) Darling, and Cheyenne Nickelson and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her Parent Ivan and Mary Rife of Bucyrus Ohio. She was also preceded in death by her Husband of 45 years, John Earl "Jack" Nickelson, 1 son Victor Anthony Nickelson of Pierre SD. And her 1 Brother Robert Rife of Upper Sandusky Ohio.
