Mary Elizabeth Larkin

Mary Elizabeth Larkin, age 57, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 in Sebring, Florida.  Mary was born the youngest of eight children on May 8, 1962 in Syracuse, New York to the late Donald and Arlene (Keiber) Schond.  She had been a resident of Highlands County for three years coming from Pinellas County where she had lived for over 30 years.  Mary enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, her family being the most significant of all.  She loved to cook, bake, and crochet and had a passion for bringing cheer and joy to whomever she met. Mary had been a dedicated and much loved employee for the Michael Podlusky Dental practice in Seminole; FL, working as a receptionist for 29 years before joining the Heartland Dental corporation in Okeechobee, FL.  Mary is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ruane N. Larkin of Sebring, FL; Son, Torey R. Nanos (Britney) of Pinellas Park, FL; Siblings, Richard Schond (Martha) of Pennellville, NY; Donna Baker (Frank Yaizzo) of Pennellville, NY; Marty Schond of Odessa, FL; Michael Schond of Englewood, FL; Grandchildren, Peyton, Brody, Araeya, Easton, Olivia, Anthony, and many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother Karl Schond, sisters Terri Guinta, and Deborah Brown.  Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Rd., Sebring, FL  33870.  A Memorial service will be held at St. Matthews Roman Catholic Church in Largo, FL on Saturday July 6, 2019 at 11am. A celebration of life will take place immediately following the Mass service at the Bardmoor Golf and Tennis Club, Seminole FL.
