Mary Alice Durrance

Mary Alice Durrance, age 103, of Avon Park, FL, passed away in Sebring, FL on Sunday, August 25, 2019. She was born on May 12, 1916 in Marianna, FL to the late Thomas Alfred and Laura Alice (Courtney) Toole. Mary was a lifelong resident of Florida coming to Avon Park in 1942 from Bowling Green, FL, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Avon Park for over 50 years. Surviving are her Daughters, Joyce Bass of Palatka, FL and Linda Kay Stewart of Leesburg, FL; 8 Grandchildren, many Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband William Eugene Durrance, Sisters- Miley Young, Verna Whitfield and Willie Clyde Cloud; Brother- Courtney E. Toole and Son- Billy Mac Durrance. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 and will begin at 11:00 AM at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 noon with Rev. Jon Beck officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, FL.
