Mary Cordovano

MARY CORDOVANO Maria Lucille Cordovano, age 84, passed away peacefully at Vitas Hospice Care facility in Winter Park, Florida, on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. She was born February 16, 1929, in Bronx, New York and lived in Syosset, Long Island until moving to Florida in 1971. She spent over 20 years in Sebring and eventually moved to Orlando to be near her son. Throughout her life she remained a person of deep conviction and trust in her Lord and Savior. After her children were grown and grandchildren were well on their way, she received great satisfaction working for many years for Central Florida Investments, specifically at Westgate Resorts with her husband, Joe, who was the Food and Beverage Director. Because they started in the early days of the resort, she and Joe enjoyed a close relationship with the Siegel family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; son, Steven and granddaughter, Ruth. She was looking forward to being reunited with her beloved family in heaven. Mary is survived by her son, Joseph of Orlando, his wife Kelly and his children and her grandchildren, Jennifer Davis; Jeremiah Cordovano and his wife Kellie; Joseph "Seph" Cordovano and Jessica Cordovano. Additionally, her beloved son Steven's family; his wife Theresa and their children, Judah Putansu and her husband Kevin; Mary Strauch and her husband Jason; Jonathan Cordovano and Rose Cordovano. Her great-grandchildren are Erick Davis; Brianna Davis; Finn Cordovano Putansu; Ethan and Bethlen Strauch. A graveside service will be held at Lakeview Memorial Gardens at 854 Memorial Drive, Avon Park, Florida at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2013.
