Marvin Thomas Gaither, Jr.

Marvin Thomas Gaither, Jr., age 77, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 in Sebring, Florida. He was born April 22, 1942 in Marion, Ohio to the late Marvin and Naomi (Marshall) Gaither, Sr. Marvin was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had been a resident for over 40 years in Florida. He enjoyed gardening, cars, fishing and listening to country music, as well as 50’s and 60’s music. His favorite singer was Tom T. Hall. He is survived by his wife, Audrey (Harmon) Gaither of Sebring, FL; Children, Nancy Pallerine (Joseph) of Sebring, FL; Sherman Zallas of Versails, IN; Sheila Cadiz (David) of Ariton, AL; Shawnette Tussing (Gary) of Decator, IL; Grandchildren, Christina Blain, John Schay 2 ^nd (Brittany), Sarah Blain, Tabitha Sadler, Shelby Tussing and Christopher Tussing.  Quoting Son, Sherman Zallas, “He was the only dad I ever knew”. Quoting Daughter, Sheila Cadiz, “He was always there for me when I needed him”.  Quoting Daughter, Nancy Pallerine, “His sense of humor kept me smiling.” Marvin Thomas Gaither, Jr. was a special type of man, he helped his wife, Audrey Gaither fight cancer for several years. He kept the whole family together and kept his wife fighting for life. There is no man who can truly compare to the late Marvin Thomas Gaither, Jr.
