MARTIN F. McDONOUGH Martin F. McDonough, 84, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010, at his home. He was born July 21, 1925, to Joseph and Agnes (Blydenburgh) McDonough, in Bay Shore, New York, and had been a resident of Avon Park since 1999, coming from Central Islip, New York. He was a Food Administrator for State Government; a veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific in the U.S. Navy and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Avon Park. He was a Volunteer Fireman for over 60 years in Central Islip, NY; a member of The American Legion; the LCI National Association and the Samson Salts Association and was an avid golfer at Highlands Ridge. He is survived by his Wife of 59 years, Jane M. McDonough of Avon Park; Daughters, Mary Jane Hofelich, Midland, MI; Marilynn Jean (Sherman) Wood, Queensbury, NY and Maria Jo (Timothy) Brady, Central Islip, NY and Grandchildren, Martin Hofelich; Alicia Hofelich and Joseph Martin Brady. A Memorial Mass, with Military Honors, will take place Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Avon Park, Father Nicholas McLoughlin officiating. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Good Shepherd Hospice or Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
