Martha L. Spung, a devoted homemaker known for her warmth and grace, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026, in Sebring, Florida. Born on December 28, 1929, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, Martha’s life was a testament to love, family, and community.

Throughout her years, Martha embraced the joys and challenges of homemaking with remarkable dedication. She was a woman of varied interests, finding pleasure in playing bridge, golfing, and singing—activities that brought her both joy and connection to others.

Martha is lovingly remembered by her children: her sons Stephen Borowitz and Robert Borowitz, and her daughter Mary Ann Borowitz. She was also a cherished grandmother to her two grandchildren, Alden Craft and Aaron Borowitz, who carried forward her legacy of kindness and strong family ties.

Her family mourns the loss of a beloved matriarch who was preceded in death by her first husband, Stephen John Borowitz, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her second husband, Dale Loring Spung, and her parents, Robert and Anna Priddy.

A Memorial Mass to honor Martha’s life will be held on April 24, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church located at 595 E. Main Street, Avon Park, Florida 33825. This service will provide an opportunity for family and friends to gather, celebrate her life, and find comfort in shared memories.
