“A Hallelujah was resounded in the heavens on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 as Martha Ellen Solis entered the gates of her eternal home.
Martha, who was lovingly referred sometimes as Margie, was born on November 19,1940 in a quaint wooden home in Newton, AL. As a family of seven children, she spent her childhood in Alabama before moving to Frostproof, FL in the 1960’s and then later retiring to Sebring, FL.
During her time here, she continuously shared the love of the Father in ministry throughout Highlands county and surrounding areas as well as many years serving in Cape Cod, South Africa.
She was blessed to be married to Robert “Bob” Brown and had four beautiful children. After Bob’s passing in November 1989, Martha was blessed to be wedded to Joe Solis and had the honor of rearing his three beautiful children as well.
Her legacy continues as she has many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She served whole heartedly during her time on earth as well as being the hands and feet of Jesus and shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with countless numbers of people. She had a heart especially for missions.
Martha is lovingly remembered in our hearts always. She is the true definition of a Proverbs 31 woman.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Leroy and Vera (Johnston) Monk, late husband, Robert “Bob” Brown, son, Sherrill Brown, brothers, Jude Monk, Curtis Monk as well as her sister Retha (Dean) Horsely.
She is survived by her husband, Jose “Joe” Solis, children, Robert (Melinda) Brown, Sherrie Dent, Shelia Solis, Michael (Ana) Solis, Melissa Solis and Danny (Patty) Solis, sister Viola (Eudon) Pitts, sister, Wanda (Gene) Ruffin and brother, Marvette Monk. well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. “
